Dr Samy Chaar is Partner, Chief Economist, and Chief Investment Officer Switzerland at Lombard Odier, as well as a voting member of the Lombard Odier Investment Committee.
Samy joined Lombard Odier in 2006. He specialises in macroeconomics, monetary policy, and global market trends.
He leads the team responsible for formulating the bank’s macroeconomic views, analysing economic trends, and assessing major geopolitical developments.
Samy holds a PhD in Economics, as well as a degree from the Paris II Panthéon-Assas University and Paris IX Dauphine University. Before joining Lombard Odier, he conducted economic research at the IRGEI Institute and taught economics at both Paris IX Dauphine and Paris II Panthéon-Assas universities.
