Lombard Odier honoured twice at PAM Awards 2020

We are pleased to announce that Lombard Odier has won two PAM Awards for sustainability – for our sustainable investment offering and our positive impact.

The PAM Awards are among the most respected in the wealth management industry, and this marks the second consecutive year we have won an award. This year, we were finalists in three categories: Sustainable Investment Solution, Positive Impact and Innovation.

Sustainable Investment Solution Award

The award for Best Sustainable Investment Solution reflects how we strive for sustainability in managing our clients’ wealth, by deploying their capital in areas, industries and assets that we judge to be sustainable in terms of their finances, business practices and business models.

In making their decision, the judges reviewed our sustainability strategy, framework and investment analysis, and the different ways we incorporate sustainability into client portfolios.

“We are proud to win this award, which demonstrates how seriously Lombard Odier takes its commitment to sustainability, as a global shift transforms our economies, the companies that drive them, and the way we invest,” said Duncan MacIntyre, Chief Executive Officer, Lombard Odier UK, and head of our Global UK Business.

Positive Impact Award

The award for Positive Impact is presented to the institution the judges believe is most clearly advancing client and industry outcomes through its governance and initiatives, and that demonstrates a high ethical standard and integrity to stakeholders.

In assessing our entry, the judges considered our client service, corporate governance, community and stakeholder relations, environmental impact and talent management. Our B Corp certification – awarded to companies that practice corporate sustainability at the highest level – was a key asset.

The judges commended our sustainable investment offering, the sustainable credentials of our new OneRoof corporate headquarters (due to open in 2022), and our work with partner institutions including the ICRC, EPFL, Gustave Roussy Cancer Campus and the Building Bridges initiative.

“We are committed to setting new standards for good business. We firmly believe that the world is moving towards a more sustainable economic model, and that all stakeholders must work together to achieve it,” said Duncan MacIntyre.

Thirty firms were named as PAM Award finalists, and the winners were announced at a virtual awards ceremony on Thursday 9 July.

The organisers, PAM Insight, are an independent publishing group focussed on Private Asset Managers (PAM), and the awards are restricted to firms providing wealth management services to clients in the UK and Crown Dependencies (the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man).
