    Where will the Covid-19 crisis lead the world economy and financial markets?  We see two possible scenarios ahead.

    Either a transitory shock followed by a recovery in the second half of the year, if public-health measures prove effective. Or, if containment measures fail and economies re-open too soon, prolonged economic weakness. For the moment, a transitory contraction remains our main scenario. But the shock is of historical magnitude, and one of the worst quarters in financial markets’ history is behind us. We continue to strengthen our portfolio protections.
