As a partner of the van Buuren Museum and Gardens, Lombard Odier is proud to support the preservation of this unique cultural heritage. We had the honour of welcoming eight exceptional women – notaries, lawyers, and tax advisors – at this exceptional venue for an exclusive dinner titled “At the van Buuren Table,” held as part of the 50th anniversary of the van Buuren Museum and the centenary of Art Deco. Set in the Art Deco interior of the Brussels residence built for banker and patron David van Buuren and his wife Alice in 1928, our guests experienced a space where home intimacy blends with an impressive art collection featuring works by artists ranging from Brueghel to Van Gogh. The gardens, designed by Jules Buyssens and René Pechère, offered visitors a poetic journey through a rose garden, a labyrinth, and the romantic"Garden of the Heart". Guided by the museum’s curator, @Manon Magotteaux, our guests enjoyed a private tour, exploring Alice van Buuren’s notebooks – detailing guests, table plans, flowers, and attire – and admiring tableware from the 1930s. The dinner, inspired by Madame van Buuren’s sophisticated menus, delighted the palate, with each dish reviving the elegance of bygone receptions. This evening, marked by excellence and conviviality, strengthened our ties with these talented intermediaries who contribute to our bank’s success. An unforgettable moment, reflecting the timeless legacy of the van Buurens. #vanbuurenmuseum #art #lombardodier
