Lombard Odier named best pure-play private bank at Euromoney Awards 2024

Lombard Odier is delighted to have received several awards recognising its expertise and core business at the Euromoney Private Banking Awards 2024 in London. These include the prestigious prizes for Western Europe's Best Pure-Play Private Bank and the Middle East's Best Pure-Play Private Bank. Our expertise in portfolio management and investment research was also recognised.

    Best pure-play private bank

At Lombard Odier, our mission is to protect and grow our clients' assets, generation after generation – wherever they or their estate are based. Since 1796, our Firm has remained true to its core business as the go-to private bank for entrepreneurs and their families.

We are proud to be named Western Europe's Best Pure-Play Private Bank and the Middle East's Best Pure-Play Private Bank in recognition of our local and international expertise. With more than 25 offices and 10 booking centres worldwide, our well-established global network supports and complements our long-standing Swiss base.

“Lombard Odier has gained an enviable reputation for innovation”
    The Euromoney Awards 2024 jury

Lombard Odier was one of the first Swiss private banks to open an office abroad, doing so in 1950. We have been operating in the Middle East for more than 65 years, and have offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. We have also successfully developed investment proposals in line with the principles of Islamic finance within our “Lombard Odier Assayil” range.

Our Group also includes approximately 15 offices in Western Europe. This keeps us close to our clients and helps us develop tailor-made offers that meet their needs and objectives in wealth and succession planning.

Best portfolio management and investment research

Our expertise in discretionary portfolio management and investment research was also recognised at the Euromoney Awards, with three regional prizes: Middle East's Best for Discretionary Portfolio Management, the UAE's Best for Discretionary Portfolio Management and Switzerland’s Best for Investment Research.

In discretionary management, our award application highlighted the advantages of our exclusive Your Wealth Outlook tool. This runs scenarios based on our clients’ life goals and helps structure their estate over the short, medium and long term to meet all their financial needs. It has become an increasingly popular offer. Our expertise in unlisted assets, which has been developed within the Group since 2007, also drew the judges’ attention.

We build portfolios based on our clients’ personal and tax situations, while also looking at their financial objectives and risk tolerance. Our investment process is simple and transparent: an integrated approach, looking to the long term, in which understanding and managing risk are key.

Our work is supported by significant resources in fundamental research, both in traditional financial analysis and sustainability assessments. The nearly 250 investment specialists in our Investment Solutions unit have strong networks via our research teams – in both equities and sustainability – to evaluate companies and provide leading coverage of global investment opportunities.
