Lombard Odier Zurich invests in the future
At the opening of Lombard Odier’s newly renovated Zurich office on Thursday 10 September, Managing Partner Hugo Bänziger shared his vision of the group's future development, and Dominique Wohnlich, Chairman of the Managing Board, explained Lombard Odier Zurich's new focus.
Lombard Odier Zurich was restructured last year, and the range of competencies and offerings covered in the office is now much broader: the team of client advisors has been expanded significantly, portfolio management competencies have been improved, and wealth planning has been consolidated and better aligned to the needs of local clients. Lombard Odier Zurich's experts are now all available to clients on site. They are highly-motivated, well-educated, entrepreneurial employees – mostly from Zurich and its surrounding areas – with great track records.
"The timing is perfect," says Dominique Wohnlich, Chairman of the Managing Board of Lombard Odier Zurich. "Traditional private banks no longer simply manage your assets; they have become a major port of call for anything to do with wealth and wealth planning. Our clients' needs have changed dramatically, their issues have become far more complex, and their expectations of us have risen sharply." Hugo Bänziger, Managing Partner of the Lombard Odier Group, adds: "Zurich has undergone an impressive development as a business location over recent years and has become a much more dynamic place. As a well-established, high-quality institution, we believe that this new office offers us unrivalled opportunities."
Besides its new client offering, Lombard Odier has also invested in local infrastructure. The reception and client areas in Zurich's historic Utoschloss, which has been home to the Bank for many years, have undergone a transformation. As a further investment in the future, Lombard Odier Zurich is now also collaborating with top international chef Andreas Caminada (3 Michelin stars, 19 Gault & Millau points). His drive for innovation, precision and top performance in the service of his clients, as well as his strong connection with the area, are values he shares with Lombard Odier.
Lombard Odier Zurich
Fully aware of the importance of Switzerland's primary financial location, the Partners of Lombard Odier established a local office in Zurich more than 25 years ago. Business has grown steadily over the years, and today the town on the banks of the Limmat is home to two Lombard Odier offices – one at Utoquai, one on Sihlstrasse – employing more than 100 staff, who provide private and institutional clients with all the services our Bank has to offer.
