HAPPY ANNIVERSARY UAE
10 years celebrated in style
What an occasion! Guests and clients have celebrated the 10th anniversary of Lombard Odier’s office in the United Arab Emirates.
The event took place on Wednesday, 4 May in the heart of Dubai’s business district at the Hotel Conrad, which will house Lombard Odier’s new office in the Emirates from the end of June.
“This office acts not only as a strategic hub for the UAE but for all Gulf Cooperation Countries (GCC) and even beyond,” said Senior Managing Partner Patrick Odier.
The party was held by the poolside with its plant-lined paths and patios on the hotel’s sixth floor.
Among the guests were H.E. Maya Tissafi, Ambassador of Switzerland to the United Arab Emirates, as well as local and international investors, CEOs of UAE and UAE-based companies, representatives of local institutions and private investors.
Arnaud Leclercq, Head of New Markets and Middle East for Private Banking, introduced Patrick Odier.
Mr Odier reminded guests that our bank is 220 years old this year and that our commitment to serving clients from the Middle East goes back more than half a century.
“Our values resonate with many of our clients here in the UAE - like-minded family business owners who revere the spirit of entrepreneurship, continuity and solidity,” he said.
Christophe Lalandre, Managing Director of our Dubai office, wrapped up the presentations. With his concluding remarks, Lombard Odier’s logo was projected on the hotel’s 54-storey facade at the spot where our new office will be located.
Throughout the evening, silhouettist Inès from Paris circulated among the guests. Armed with a pair of scissors and pieces of paper, she snipped her portrait profiles with precision and handed them out as mementoes.
After dinner on the terrace by the pool, a prize draw saw two winners walking or rather flying away with business class return tickets from Abu Dhabi courtesy of Etihad Airways.
All that was left was to cut the cake. That task fell appropriately to all eight members of our Dubai team, who jointly wielded the knife for the first slice.
It was the icing on the cake for a team, whose industry and commitment under Arnaud Leclercq and Christophe Lalandre has won four major awards in the Middle East in four consecutive years.
Lombard Odier was crowned Best United Arab Emirates Private Bank at theWealthBriefing GCC Region Awards 2015 in Dubai for the second year running.
Lombard Odier has also been crowned Best Private Bank in the Banker Middle East Industry Awards 2013 and Best Foreign Bank in the Banker Middle East Industry Awards 2012.
In his card that accompanied the going home gifts, Patrick Odier made reference to our Group’s history, hoping that our privileged relationship with our guests would continue for the next 220 years.
