Lombard Odier Wins 'Western Europe's Best Bank for Wealth Management'

EuroMoneyNewst_Intranet-M.jpg

At a glittering, black-tie ceremony at the Tower of London, Managing Partner Hugo Bänziger, and a team of senior Lombard Odier delegates including Henry Fischel-Bock, Marc Lopez, Fabio Mancone, Joëlle Pacteau, Duncan MacIntyre and Dominique Wohnlich, collected the award, which recognises the strength of both our Swiss and European private banking operations1. Representatives from our UK PR agency FTI Consulting and from our advertising agency Y&R also attended.

Now in their 26th year, the Euromoney awards are some of the oldest and most respected in the global banking industry. They seek to celebrate banks that are truly world class in their management and in the services they deliver to clients, with business models that are constantly adapting to changing client, market and regulatory needs. They award global and regional winners across wealth management, investment banking, financing and transaction services, covering close to 100 countries worldwide.

EuroMoneyNews_Intranet-M.jpgThe winning banks in different regions and categories are selected by an independent committee of senior journalists, chaired by Euromoney’s editor. The committee’s decisions are informed by the receipt of detailed submissions from market participants and extensive year-round research into the regional banking markets by Euromoney editors, journalists and research teams.

This is the first time Lombard Odier has won this prestigious award, which is a public acknowledgement of our leading position in the wealth management sector, and of the work we have done both in Switzerland and across Europe, from branding to business efforts, to increase our visibility and standing over the past year. It highlights our extensive wealth structuring and investment expertise, our capacity for innovation, and our unwavering commitment to excellence.

An excellent networking event, the evening gathered around 600 people from the financial world at the iconic Tower of London, one of the world’s most famous and historic buildings. Guests enjoyed a champagne reception, three course dinner and awards ceremony, and were hosted by Rory Bremner, one of Britain’s leading comedians, impressionists and political satirists.

Euromoney magazine was created in 1969 to cover the re-emergence of the international cross-border capital markets. Today, its specialist journalists cover capital markets, investment, foreign exchange & treasury, and regional markets including Asia, Latin America and Emerging Middle East and Africa.

This award recognises both our Swiss and European banks (Banque Lombard Odier & Cie SA and Lombard Odier (Europe) S.A.)
