Lombard Odier Wins Two Prizes at European WealthBriefing Awards
Lombard Odier was honoured with two awards at the annual WealthBriefing European Awards 2017 last night, winning ‘Best Marketing/PR Campaign,’ and ‘Best Customer Facing Digital Capabilities’ for the UK private bank.
The awards were collected by chief branding officer Fabio Mancone, and Duncan MacIntyre, chief executive of our UK private bank. Colleagues from the London office, from our external PR agency FTI Consulting, and from the global advertising agency Y&R - which helped produce our ‘Rethink Everything’ campaign - also attended the ceremony. The evening, including a black-tie dinner, was held at London’s medieval Guildhall, in the heart of the City.
This was the first time that the bank has been honoured at the European Wealthbriefing Awards. As well as the two gongs won, the bank was shortlisted for a further five awards. Lombard Odier has won ‘Best Domestic Private Bank’ and ‘Best Innovative Client Solution’ at the Swiss WealthBriefing Awards for the last two years.
The ‘Best Marketing/PR campaign’ award won last night rewarded the originality and creativity of our ‘Rethink Everything’ global branding campaign, launched in September 2016. The judges considered the highly visual and thought-provoking nature of the campaign’s images, and the fresh perspectives on current affairs, economic issues and culture offered by its editorial content. They also considered how the campaign articulated Lombard Odier’s existing philosophy, and the support from the campaign seen from employees right across the bank.
The ‘Best Customer-Facing Digital Capabilities’ award for our UK private bank honoured our cutting-edge global technology platform. The judges considered multiple aspects when making this award. Firstly, the strength and depth of our external technology offering, as marketed through our ‘technology for banking’ service. Secondly, it considered the quality of our ‘My LO’ platform, which allows our private clients to configure almost any investment parameter, consolidate their portfolios, and view assets and liabilities across markets, asset classes, currencies and jurisdictions. Finally, our newly designed website and the large increase in traffic generated, was also an important factor.
The WealthBriefing awards are held annually, to showcase the leading companies and figures in the private wealth industry. They are sponsored by the online publication WealthBriefing, a news, features and information provider, owned by ClearView Publishing. It is one of the benchmark media groups in the global wealth management industry.
