Frédéric Rochat, who holds an economics and business administration degree from the University of St. Gallen (HSG), Switzerland, spent the first part of his career working for the investment banking arm of Goldman Sachs Group in London and New York, initially as an advisor to financial institutions, then to industrial companies. In this capacity, he worked for a number of large banks, insurers, asset managers and other financial services firms on topics related to asset hedging, financing, equity recapitalisation, debt restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions. Frédéric Rochat joined Lombard Odier in October 2010 to manage the London office. He has been a Managing Partner of the Lombard Odier Group since 1 January 2012 and is co-head of the Group's Private Client business.
Samy Chaar is Chef Economist at Lombard Odier and a voting member of the Lombard Odier Investment Committee. In this role, he is leading a team that formulates the bank’s macroeconomic insights and analyses economic forecasts (growth, economic trends and cycles, inflation, balance of payments, central banks action, financial conditions, major geopolitical events & their impact on the markets).
Samy joined Lombard & Odier in 2006. He holds a PhD in economics and a degree from the Paris II Pantheon-Assas & Paris IX Dauphine Universities. He was a researcher in the economics dept. of the IRGEI Institute, whilst teaching at the Paris IX Dauphine and Paris II Pantheon–Assas Universities. From 1999 to 2002 Samy worked in Asia with the Crédit Agricole Group, first with W.I. Securities in Tokyo and then in asset management in Hong Kong, after which he returned to Paris to prepare for his doctorate.
Didier Rabattu joined the Lombard Odier IM after the summer 2011 as the Head of Global Equities and the Portfolio Manager for the LO Funds-Emerging Consumer Fund.
Didier started his career at SG Warburg in 1987 as an analyst with a specialisation in consumer and retail stocks across Europe. In 1995 he moved to Deutsche Bank until 2007 where he was Global Head for Consumer and Retail in the research department and then Global Co-Head of Consumer and Retail on the Investment Banking side, where he initiated several transactions in M&A, Ipos andTake Private. Didier then moved to the buy-side of the financial industry as a partner first at BGAM, Talaris Capital (2008) and then Amber Capital (2010).
Duncan MacIntyre joined Lombard Odier in January 2016 as Chief Executive Officer of Lombard Odier’s Private Client business in the UK. Prior to his role in Lombard Odier, he founded and was a global head of Coutts Private Office managing UHNW clients across the world (UK, Switzerland, Monaco, Russia, Middle East and Asia). Duncan has 25 years of experience in Private Wealth Management. Duncan holds a BA in Latin American studies and a Masters degree in Anthropology and Economics. He also participated in the Harvard Business school Executive Education programme. Duncan is a Chartered Fellow of the Securities and Investment Institute (CISI) and a Director and Trustee of UK Youth, one of the United Kingdom’s largest national youth charities.
