Lombard Odier Investment Managers (‘Lombard Odier IM’) has appointed Marek Siwicki as Head of Consultant Relations, based in London, to strengthen Lombard Odier IM’s position within this key client segment.

Marek, who joined on 8th May 2018, will be responsible for increasing Lombard Odier IM’s coverage of the consultant market globally, and helping shape product development for the institutional market. He will report to Jonathan Clenshaw, Head of Institutional Sales Europe at Lombard Odier IM.

Commenting on Marek’s appointment, Jonathan Clenshaw, Head of Institutional Sales Europe at Lombard Odier IM, said: “We are delighted to welcome Marek on board. Institutional clients face myriad challenges in today’s investment landscape and our task is to help them grow and protect their assets over the long term by providing innovate and bespoke investment solutions. We are looking forward to working in closer partnership with the consulting community to ensure our offering is genuinely delivering what our clients need. Marek brings a wealth of experience in building these partnerships with this critical audience.”

Marek has over twenty years’ experience within the institutional pension fund market. He joins Lombard Odier IM from Western Asset Management where he worked since 2014, latterly in the role of Head of UK Institutional Sales. Prior to that, he spent four years at Man Investments working in consultant relations and direct institutional sales. He joined Man Investment from Gartmore Investment Management where he was Head of Consultant Relations. He also spent eight years at Aon Consulting, where he was a Senior Investment Consultant.

On joining the firm, Marek said: “The quality of the underlying investment strategies at Lombard Odier Investment Managers really stood out to me when I was introduced to the firm.  Also the fact that the firm is willing to put its own skin in the game with the Lombard Odier Pension Scheme investing in a wide range of the firm strategies is testament to the integrity of the firm’s approach.”
