Encouraging innovation and entrepreneurial spirit in the younger generation

Creating new businesses is crucial to the economy. As independent entrepreneurs since 1796, we regard it as both natural and essential to foster the next generation’s entrepreneurial spirit, pursuit of excellence, and creative talents.


Innogrants
This program, with Lombard Odier as a founding partner, allows students, researchers, and lecturers at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne to realize innovative projects with high potential, assisted by financial support and privileged access to a skills network called the "Innovation Network".


Swissnex
The objective of this network of "scientific consulates" is to highlight Swiss expertise and promote contact between manufacturers, researchers, and students in different countries. Since launching the initiative with the establishment of the first "consulate" in Boston in 1998, Lombard Odier has helped set up branches in San Francisco (2003), Singapore (2004), Shanghai (2007), and Bangalore (2009).



Amazing Voyages Award - This prize, which has been awarded for over 10 years now, is granted to young people completing their further education in the Canton of Geneva who submit plans for amazing voyages. 

Training grants - to support or reward research or the acquisition of specialist skills, particularly in the areas of finance and business law. In 2008 Lombard Odier also initiated a program which enables young people from developing countries to study at the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (Lausanne hotel school), thus making a long-term contribution to the development of the tourism sector in their countries of origin.
